PEOPLE I ADMIRE for their sense of style and elegance:

UK – Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge

Some say she’s boring, not creative and plays it safe all the time.

Playing it safe????

She’s taking the biggest risks in repeating outfits when the press and general public are so keen to condemn.

That is probably what I admire the most, her courage to repeat looks! I JUST LOVE THAT!

God forbid I could only wear my favorite dress or shirt once…ridiculous!

Why should she or any public figure be any different? It actually shows that you can have all the money in the world dress all the brands you love but do as you like instead of what others like.

She’s smart, knows what she likes and feels happy with her choices.
Why should she be dressing differently? Just to be considered a risk taker or more daring or more creative or whatever?

I strongly admire her for wearing exactly what she likes and feels most comfortable with, in an elegant, classy minimalist style.

Catherine is becoming one of the most influential women of her generation and if she keeps dressing who she is and from the heart her style and choices will only get better.

Glam Your Image - Wear the right bra

To those of you who know me or worked with Glam Your Image before, know how important I consider undergarments, and how much time I dedicate to the Bra and Undergarments Consultation.

Beauty comes from within and that applies to clothes also.
Dressing starts from inside out, and the better your undergarments are, the better the clothes will look on you, the better you will feel and look.
Our bra help us in many ways; shape our breasts, enhance or reduce the volume, creates a smooth line under clothing, boosts our confidence but most importantly provides support!
Bras come in all kinds of styles and fabrics in different cup sizes and band measurement and it can be incredibly overwhelming to choose or try to choose the right bra.
Most women I know wear the same bra cup and band size for years! “I was always a 36B”!
Due to changes in your body like puberty, pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight gain or loss, breast surgery augmentation or other, you should be measured every 6 months to a year!
Measurements can be really tricky sometimes and you can be a 34 in a specific style/brand and be a 36 in another. Sometimes a 34C is not available and a 36B will do the exact same job. Just because B is thought to be smaller than a C doesn't mean it actually is! A cup B is just smaller than a C in the same band size.
So forget about numbers and just make sure you take the bra that really fits home!

Happy shopping and do not forget to Glam Your Image always.

Glam Your Sports

Was watching the game last night, and my national team won!

I married a sportsman and have been living surround by sports clothes and gear for 12 years now.

Sports is a big part of my life and I confess I am a tennis girl when it comes to style but a football fan at heart.
With a husband and 2 boys crazy about football my laundry basket is daily filled with jerseys, shorts and socks.
When I open the boys closet and see all those jerseys and shorts (almost alike) I feel really happy that my little girl and I can have a sports closet way more diverse!!
We have cute dresses to play tennis (well...they are meant to play tennis), we have cute shorts and skirts, tops in every color and style, 2 pieces sets, 1 piece set, matching accessories and so on.
The boys have their jerseys, shorts and socks and the only decision to make is which club are they wearing and even that is not very hard because they have almost everything from the same club!

I love to dress for every occasion and if sports is the occasion then lets dress for sports in style!

It feels so much better to exercise when you are well dressed! So go ahead and Glam Your Sports wear!

This is my national team favorite Kit! It is brilliant congrats to the designer!

A hole in my heart

Mommy,

This anniversary instead of remembering the last two years without you, I decided to celebrate all the years we've spent together.

I no longer want to think about that tragic day 2 years ago, but instead I want to remember everyday of every year we lived happily.
Want to treasure all the memories of the trips to visit each other, remembering and reliving the emotion of waiting for your arrival, for the hugs and kisses, every Skype call we made, all the lunches and dinners we did online, all the shopping trips, the laughing and remembering the amazing grandmother you were.
I can still smell your scent, and feel the touch of your hand, like if you were here with me.
I can see every detail of your hands and face, every expression, every smile.
Sometimes, I act as if you are still here and share my thoughts, my plans, and my ideas with you. At times is like I can almost hear you…
My life with you was so complete so filled with love and joy and everyday I hope I can be half of the woman you were.
I work on my patient a lot because that was one of the things you were so good at…being patient.
I choose to think everyday when I get ready in the morning of how you liked my clothes, my hair, and how pretty you thought I was. It fills my heart with happiness remembering how proud you were of me.
So now, everyday, I decided to think of a moment  we lived, or a memory of something you were really good at and happy with, and I hold the thought until I can feel that emotion and smell your scent, and it fills my heart instantly like if you were really here with me.
Mommy today more than ever I love you and I thank you for being the best mom in the world. I am so grateful for all the years we lived and so grateful for even now with you gone I am still learning from you.
I Glam Your Image everyday with loving thoughts of the amazing, stylish, elegant, subtle woman you were.
All my love,
Betinha

Fashionably Captivating - Faye Wong - China

CHINA – Faye Wong

The talented and successful Chinese singer-songwriter and actress is a serious case of popularity in Asia.

A very private person, highly influential and a cultural icon, her style is creative and dramatic but she has this completely subtleness and almost discreet at times.

She’s a good example of wearing a bit of drama without making drama.

Fashionably captivating - Sofia Carvalho - Portugal

Portugal –  Sofia Carvalho

The beautiful Portuguese journalist impresses everywhere she goes!

With her everyday smart casual approach she is followed by many.
She looks classic and irreverent at the same time and usually her choices fare spot on.
I would love to see her in Dolce and Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli.
She’s a good example of “you don’t need a lot to look good”.

Fashionably captivating - Sheikha Mozah - Qatar

Qatar – Sheikha Mozah

A lot has been said already about this amazing woman, mother, style icon and Queen!

Sheikha Mozah wears her stylish pieces like a second skin!
I have seen hundreds of pictures of HH in different styles and colors and probably from the hundreds I saw I could only pick up 3 or 4 I didn't like as much…
She must be a designer’s dream to dress, due to religious dressing restrictions; the designer has to put together a dress that covers her arms and legs as well as her hair!
So when she wears something stunning that almost covers all her body you have to stop and think that you really don’t need to show a lot of skin to look alluring and super elegant!

Wedding memories

GLAM Magazine recently asked me to share “The happiest memory of your wedding”…..

This simple request started a roller coast of emotions.

Remembering my wedding is already an overwhelming thought as I had such a happy blessed wedding.
But the most beautiful and painful memory is of my mom who I recently lost due to a deadly stroke at the young age of 59 years old….She was truly the happiest person at my wedding, she prepared everything by herself and did her best.

I was living in China at the time, and my wedding was going to take place in Portugal, I arrived a week before the wedding and everything was ready. My mom and dad were absolutely amazing, they did all they could to make my wedding an amazing day and they succeeded. It was a very beautiful, happy, fun and enjoyable day.

I have millions of happy memories of my wedding day…but the happiest of all is remembering the faces of my mom and dad and how proud and truly happy they were on this day.

I cherish this beautiful memory of my mom and dad filled with unconditional love sharing a beautiful moment with their daughter.

My name is Elisabete,
I am a wife and a mom.
I am also an Image Consultant and Stylist thats my other job.

I love what I do! Not talking about being a wife and a mom because that is for sure the most important and gratifying thing I do.
Talking about my other job - Image consultant.... I love what I do! I really do. I dedicate so much love to this job as well. I believe thats the only way. If you love what you do, you are instantly successful, and life opens up a galaxy of opportunities.

I believe in learning, studying, reading devouring knowledge by talking to all sorts of people from all backgrounds.

I look to improve everyday to add something new not only become a better stylist but most importantly a better person.
"Love yourself first".

Who am I?
How do I want to be perceived?

These are the 2 most important questions I ask myself and people I work with.
Finding out who we really are, takes time, courage and a lot of love. Sometimes, it takes a life time.
Deciding how we want to be perceived can make us think of who we really are and help us get the answer sooner.
Our closets give plenty of hints and messages.
If we take the time to learn more about ourselves, our bodies, our colors we will be closer and closer to the answers.
The identity process is a wonderful experience where we learn so much about ourselves and realize we all do have wonderful capabilities and we are all good at something.
Hiring an image consultant is an investment that pays of for the rest of your life.
Looks do matter we deserve to look always our best.
We were given these bodies to take care, good care, to love and respect and looking always your best is a way of doing that.
Glam Your Image does just that. We help you "Match Who You Are".
